Terms of Service – Student Responsibility
1) Overview
These Terms of Service, govern your access to and use of the websites, mobile apps, and services operated by Tolaab. By accessing or using any part of our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with the effective date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Plain-language summary (non legal): Tolaab helps verified students in the UAE discover and redeem partner offers. Merchants post offers; students redeem them under the merchant’s rules. We manage access/verification and provide tools and analytics, but we do not manufacture or sell the merchant’s goods or services.
2) Definitions
- Account: A registered profile used to access the Service.
- Student: An individual who meets our student eligibility criteria and is verified by us or our verification partners.
- Merchant: A business that lists offers on the Service.
- Offer: A promotion, discount, voucher, or benefit published by a Merchant via the Service.
3) Eligibility & Account Registration
- You must be the legal age of majority under applicable UAE law to create an Account, or have verifiable consent from a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
- You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information and to keep it updated. You are responsible for all activity under your Account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- We may refuse, suspend, or close Accounts at our discretion where required by law or for breach of these Terms.
4) Student Verification
- Access to certain Offers requires verification that you are an eligible student (for example, active enrollment at a recognised educational institution in the UAE).
- Verification may be performed by Tolaab or by third party verification partners. You authorise us to collect, process, and securely share the minimum necessary information to complete verification, in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
- If verification cannot be completed or later becomes invalid, we may limit or revoke access to student only Offers.
5) Merchants & Offers
- Merchants are solely responsible for their Offers, including eligibility rules, redemption mechanics, availability, quality, pricing, after sales support, and compliance with applicable laws (including consumer protection, advertising, and pricing rules in the UAE).
- Tolaab is not the seller or provider of Merchant products/services unless expressly stated. Any purchase or redemption is a contract between you and the relevant Merchant.
- Offers may be time limited, subject to availability, or withdrawn. We may remove, modify, or highlight Offers at our discretion.
6) Use of the Service
- You may use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
- You must not: (a) attempt unauthorised access; (b) interfere with or disrupt the Service; (c) misrepresent your identity or eligibility; (d) use bots, scrapers, or automated means without permission; (e) reproduce, sell, or exploit any part of the Service without written consent; (f) engage in fraud, abuse, or misuse of any Offer or redemption feature.
- We may monitor and review activity to protect users, Merchants, and the integrity of the Service.
7) Pricing, Fees & Taxes
- Creating a user Account is free. Certain features (for example, premium services) may be subject to fees disclosed at the point of purchase.
- Prices and fees are in UAE dirhams (AED) unless stated otherwise and may change from time to time. Where applicable, UAE VAT (currently 5%) will be charged in accordance with UAE tax laws and displayed at checkout for paid features.
8) Orders, Redemptions & Payments
- Where the Service enables you to reserve, pay for, or redeem an Offer, you agree to comply with the stated terms, including any time windows, location requirements, and identification checks at redemption.
- For payments processed via the Service, you authorise us and our payment providers to charge your selected payment method for applicable amounts, taxes, and fees.
- Chargebacks, failed payments, or suspected fraud may result in suspension of your Account and cancellation of redemptions.
9) Refunds & Cancellations
- Merchant goods/services:Refunds, replacements, and cancellations are governed by the Merchant’s policy and applicable UAE consumer protection laws. Please contact the Merchant first. If an issue relates to payment processing through Tolaab, contact us using the details below and we will assist where appropriate.
- Tolaab paid features: Unless otherwise required by law or stated at purchase, fees for digital services are non refundable once delivered or accessed.
10) Third Party Services & Links
- The Service may integrate or link to third party websites, apps, or tools. We do not control and are not responsible for third party content, policies, or practices. Your use of third party services is at your own risk and subject to their terms.
11) User Content & Feedback
- If you submit content (e.g., reviews, comments, suggestions), you grant Tolaab a non exclusive, worldwide, royalty free licence to use, reproduce, modify, publish, translate, and distribute such content for operating and improving the Service. You remain responsible for your content and warrant that you have the necessary rights to share it.
- We may moderate, remove, or decline to publish content that is unlawful, harmful, misleading, infringing, or violates these Terms.
12) Intellectual Property
- The Service and all related content (including logos, trademarks, text, graphics, software, and design) are owned by or licensed to Tolaab and are protected by applicable laws. No rights are granted except as expressly set out in these Terms.
13) Privacy
- Our collection and use of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy (link to be provided). By using the Service, you consent to our processing of your information in the UAE and any other jurisdictions where our service providers are located, in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
14) Accuracy, Availability & Changes
- We try to ensure information on the Service is accurate and current, but errors or omissions may occur. We may correct errors, change or update information, or suspend the Service (in whole or part) without notice where reasonably required.
- From time to time, portions of the Service may be unavailable due to maintenance or technical reasons.
15) Prohibited Conduct
- You agree not to use the Service to:
- (a) violate any applicable UAE or international law or regulation;
- (b) infringe intellectual property or privacy rights;
- (c) harass, abuse, defame, discriminate, or engage in hateful conduct;
- (d) submit false, misleading, or deceptive information;
- (e) upload malware or harmful code;
- (f) collect or track personal information without lawful basis;
- (g) spam, phish, crawl, or scrape without consent;
- (h) circumvent security or access controls; or
- (i) engage in any activity that harms users, Merchants, or the Service.
16) Disclaimers
- The Service and all content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non infringement.
- We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error free, or that Offers will meet your expectations.
17) Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Tolaab and its affiliates, officers, employees, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service or any Merchant Offer, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability to you for any claims shall not exceed the greater of (i) AED 500 or (ii) the total fees you paid to Tolaab (if any) in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
18) Indemnity
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Tolaab and its affiliates, officers, employees, partners, and service providers from any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your breach of these Terms, misuse of the Service, or violation of law or third party rights.
19) Suspension & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service (in whole or part) with or without notice if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, engaged in fraud or misuse, or where required to comply with law or protect users. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Certain provisions survive termination, including Sections 11–18 and 21–23.
20) Governing Law & Dispute Resolution (UAE)
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and, to the extent applicable, the laws of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
- The courts of Abu Dhabi, UAE shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the Service. Nothing in this clause limits any mandatory consumer protection rights that apply to you under UAE law.

21) Compliance & Consumer Protection
We and our Merchants must comply with applicable UAE consumer protection laws and advertising standards. Merchants are responsible for their own compliance, including clear display of terms, pricing (inclusive of VAT where applicable), and honouring valid redemptions.
22) Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms as needed (for example, for legal, regulatory, or operational reasons). We will post the revised Terms with the new effective date. If changes materially affect your rights, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, in app notice). Your continued use of the Service following the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

By using Tolaab, you acknowledge and agree that Tolaab is only a platform. All responsibility for redemptions, purchases, disputes, and outcomes lies with you (the student) and the Merchant. Tolaab has no responsibility or liability for Merchant offers, products, services, or failures.
